Bruce McCallum from the Brisbane Valley Dance Band (formerly Cloudland Dance Band)  said,” The people at the Masquerade Ball in March, were probably the nicest crowd we have ever met and entertained. The venue was every bit as good as any place we have worked in South East Queensland, and we are all looking forward to doing it again.”  (Tmba Chronicle 2nd June, 2007)

Winter Wonderland Ball - 2007
Sue Nelson from the “Swing Dance Club, Brisbane", said, “The food was fantastic and the waiters were brilliant. The Jazz Factory were outstanding. We really enjoyed their music. “

Richard Stevens from the Jazz Factory said, “It was a fabulous night, and I suggest that people book a table early, in plenty of time for the next ball, or else they will miss the best night's entertainment west of Brisbane."

Ron Freeman, from Freeman's Dance Centre , Toowoomba, said, “It was great to see so many young people dancing all night to the Jazz Music, and dressing up for the occasion. Most of the balls held in Toowoomba are only attended by the more mature age group. This is good for the future of ballroom dancing.”    (Queensland Times, Ipswich, 12/10/07)

Celtic Festival - Sunday 7th October, 2007.
The festival attracted a large crowd of people and received the “Royal Seal of Approval” from “Lady” Mary and “Sir” Stephen Pridham from Beenleigh, who were dressed in period costume. They said, “We are suitably impressed with the afternoon's entertainment and shall certainly be coming to your next festival.”     (Tmba Chronicle 16/10/07 & Gatton Star 17/10/07)

Romancing with the Stars - Musical January 2008
Mary Tanous said, “ I am amazed at the talent of these people. Are you sure they are not professionals? I can't believe that those spectacular costumes were made by the ladies of the community and not hired. I think the production should go on tour.”
(Tmba Chronicle 15/1/08 & Queensland Times 10/1/08 & Gatton Star 16/1/08 )

Winter Wonderland Ball - June 2007
"The young people knew all the old time dances and they danced all night. We attend a lot of socials, but at this particular ball, there was great energy and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back for the next ball in October.  Kameron Davis - Swing Dance Club

Jazz Festival March 2008
"Everything is so well set out. Even the children's area is fenced. It's well organised. Lovely laid back friendly relaxed family atmosphere - no pressure.  We're coming to all the Helidon do's in future because they're great.  I read about the event in the newspaper.  The ad said "Do something different this weekend."  So I did.  You people have the heart and the spirit for it.

RockStock September 2008

We have just returned from a wonderful day out at rockstock, it was such a pleasure to be present the organizers deserve hearty congratulations and our friends and us look forward to the yearly event.  Food was inexpensive which is great for families so well done all and please pass this message on to one and all.  We couldn't fault anything it was fantastic.  Cheers for now.
Helen of Toowoomba

As a volunteer on the gate at RockStock yesterday, I am passing on my thanks to you for your planning and organization for the whole week-end.  The comments received from the audience as they were leaving were all very good.  They were all very happy, some even singing, promising to come back next year.  I did not hear any bad comments at all.  Your team of ladies who made all the pink shirts deserve medals for their tenacity, as well as the frocks and skirts as well.  I was impressed with the ladies who maintained the toilets (that can be the most thankless job - people expect it but don't think of who will do it.)  and the remarkable lack of litter when the audience left.  Congratulations on a great job well done.  Next year could be much bigger.  One comment I heard was,
Gympie has its Country Gestival at Ammamoor, Tamworth has its Country Festival, now Helidon has RockStock."  Best wishes for future endeavours. Regards Marie of Gatton

Congratulations to all on a marvellous event.  We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.  Organisers and volunteers are to be commended on their efforts.  The performances of the artists were excellent, the ground layout for the stalls, cars etc was very good and amentities were very clean.  We look forward to a repeat of the event in 2009. Thank you.  Ron and Diane

Ed an I just wanted to tell you what a great event you organised and we are looking forward to next year.  My husbane was born in 1953 and I in 1960, and we really enjoyed being reminded of the way things were in our youth.  Well done to everyone especially the lovely volunteers who were so cheerful and professional on the day.  Best wishes Ed and Robyn

Congratulations! You put on a brilliant show yesterday, hopefully the first of many.  I was very impressed at the organisation, layout and hard working volunteers.  Attached is a photo of four of your girls who were dressed to suit the fifties and they asked me to make a flower necklace for them.  The four looked superb.  Bubbles the Balloonatic
