Helidon is also home to over 160 Rare Heritage Breeds of poultry, geese, turkey, guinee fowl and chucka partridges. Blue Hills Poultry Stud are dedicated to the preservation of these animals and were the feature in a 2008 documentry called "Rare Chicken Rescue."
