It's surprising what you find out about small villages and towns in Australia when you take the time to look.  Helidon is no exception. In fact, Helidon is a gem.  The Indigenous name for the Helidon location is "Yabarba".

Helidon is the source of one of the world's most mineral rich spa waters, the world's most dense and sought after sandstone, the host  township for the inaugural RockStock Festival, the Celtic Festival of Queensland (now in it's second year), the annual Jazz Festival and good old fashion 'get dressed up' gala and masquerade balls. See our events tab for more details.

It's quite a deceptive little place that has a kind of comatose feel to it but if you take the time to look inside the box, Woohoo!  Helidon rocks! In more ways than one!! So, welcome to our community.  Please take your time to browse the site and find out about our people, places and community events which you are welcome to attend.
